Journal of Animal and Plant Research (JAPR) publishes original contributions on recent discoveries and developments in animal sciences, plant sciences and related fields. The journal accepts Research Articles, Review Papers, Case Studies and Letters to the Editor.
Every manuscript received by the journal first undergoes a preliminary quality check by the editorial office before being sent for external peer review. This check is normally completed within 3–5 working days and covers plagiarism and similarity screening, duplicate or redundant publication, compliance with the journal's formatting and author guidelines, language quality, and suitability for the journal's scope. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for correction or declined without review.
JAPR follows a double-blind peer review process: the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent experts in the relevant field, who assess its originality, scientific quality, methodology, clarity and significance. Based on the reviewers' reports, the editor makes one of the following decisions: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the reviewers for further evaluation.
Accepted manuscripts then proceed to copyediting, proofreading and publication. Each published article is assigned a DOI and made available online.
